Miss mine!
I had one over 15 yrs, well seasoned, and I was at work and pulled something out of my pocket and it came out and fell behind me. By the end of the day I had no idea until a co worker asked if I had smoked earlier that day and I replied no mine is , as I felt my pocket I realized that it was gone, and I never found it.
Gift from a friend
Went to Alaska for 7 years came home a couple days ago, and one of my buds gave me an original proto pipe. It has all parts and smokes awesome. This is a Cadillac of metal pipes. Been smokin for 51 years and going strong at 71. I hope mountains for an attitude adjustment a lot. Loved Alaska, but Montana is my home. Pipe hits great too. Thanks
Beautiful Design
compliments out the wazoo. Well deserved, this thing is sick.
A Timeless Classic
I bought a proto pipe after watching the video and finding out they have been reintroduced. I bought a proto pipe and absolutely love it. It is, by far, THE best travel piece. The ingenuity of the original design makes it perfect for vacation and travel. I would highly recommend this to anyone as the legacy of its original multi-purpose design is a flawless and timeless classic!
This will be number 4
Number 1 was purchased in the late 60s for something like $20. Number 2 was a gift while in grad school in the early 80s. Number 3 was purchased about a decade or so ago for around $60. Alas it just fell apart. Now here I am again.
Long time owner
I bought my first pp in '87. Had it until the cops took it in '95. I bought a new one the next day and lost it last year after '27 years of constant use. I'm glad I found your sight. I'll be ordering soon. Hands down the absolute best pipe I have ever owned! The design, quality of materials, the machine work, and durability are all excellent!
I will be ordering my 3rd proto asap.
Spectacular device
I fell in love w the proto pipe at an early age. So far I've had 3 to 5 of them so far. They get lost misplaced or stolen. Well worth the money...great design..Use them everywhere. Concerts...race track...beach always dependable....The only drawback is they are high maintenance..thank yall for the best if the best!
Decades
I first saw the Proto Pipe in the fall of 1986, the very first time I was in a head shop; Headlines in Norwalk, CT. I couldn't afford it at the time, but kept it in mind for the future. I got my driver's license in February of '87, and told my friend who had shown me that store that we had to go for a ride. We headed to that store, and there it was. $45 seemed like a lot to spend on a pipe, but given the features, I had to have it. Over the years, many friends and fellow smokers have admired this piece. Nothing else compares to it, and in about 2 months, it'll be 36 years that this pipe has been the prize piece to me. Thank you very much for all the years of smokin this beauty.
i have used them for as long as theyve existed
they didnt cost so much bavk then
but they are always beloved by stoners for their practical and sturdy qualities. that resin collector is bonb. i habitually lose my pipes for prdictable reasons
for a time i defected to wickie pipes which have a built in lighter and work well enroute. unfortunately modificatiobs and cheapening the materials, plus the whoke fluid demands thing. i wish you guys could add a lighter. shout out to willetts a lovely place to rest when you travel un and down the golden state
Coolest pipe ever
So i bought one back in 1994 at a headshop. Paid $50 for it! That was a lot back then. I never read instructions as i know everything, so i discovered the bottom of the bowl came out for easier cleaning.... Had that pipe a good long time. Smoked alot of pot with it and even accidentally took ut to Mexico and had to clean the crap ot of it to bring it back... Great pipes. I recommend for the avid collector. May even buy one just for kicks, twice as much 30 years later but still exactly the same as the one i bought years ago. Plastic baggie with a photocopied instruction sheet. Ya buddy. Had it for a long long trip...
