Proto Parts
I've had a ProtoPipe since the 90s after "the cool uncle" and i hung out as a teenager. They are nearly indestructible. its always a show stopper for at least one person whenever i pull it out. old schoolers give me a knowing nod. I've lost them before. i recently ordered replacement parts without hassle. when i realized i made a mistake on an order, it was easy to correct via email.
Taking forever
So excited to get this... ordered it for my husband for our 10th anniversary which is in may and its saying i won't get til sometime in August.. but still appreciate what they do and understand they have to hand make them
I’m a machinist
I am impressed with the quality workmanship and excellent layout of this pipe! It has an extremely functional design and works very well! Other than loss or an accident in a steel foundry this pipe will last you the rest of your life
I found one in Uruguay
Hi friends! I found one of these at a fleamarket in Montevideo. It seems that the stash pod and poker are missing. Could you send me those to Uruguay?
Also..on my PP says 'BOX 129'and not 1029. Could that mean it is one of the older series?
44 years , on my 2nd Proto
Got my first one from a friend in Syracuse around '78, '79 that had bought it from you in Golden Gate Park. While working for High Times on the Reggae Sunsplash tour in '95 I was returning to NYC and had it confiscated by Federal Park Ranger S. Clarke @ the Delaware Water Gap rest area on I-80 after an illegal search the afternoon O. J. took his famous white Bronco ride. My hitch hiker at the time presented me with a new one a new one a few years later when we reunited in Seattle at Bumbershoot. I was passing thru with the 10,000 Maniacs and quite touched by his gift and story. I'd given him my old VW in NY to return out west with, it finally broke down in the desert near a gal that needed help driving her camper to Washington state. They got married soon after arriving and her dad won the big Lotto and gave them a million bucks. Still got it and it serves me well to this day. Good Job there guys!!
Ready to order
My dad had one of these. When he died, I used it for years. It was stolen. I’m so excited to see these come back. These are amazing to own, and use. They are even better than advertised. You’ll never understand how amazing these truly are until you’ve held, and used it. Strongly recommend these to any smoker out there!
Art and history
It's one the to see the pictures, it's another to hold in the hand. The weight, artistry, and engineering complement each other within a functional pipe. I've been waiting too long to own a piece of history, and now I know the legend lives up to the hype. Thank you for the quality pipe, I look forward to enjoying what it has to offer for years to come.
Still the best
I still have mine from 1982! And it’s time to grab a new one for me and my son as a matter of fact you’ll see knock offs out there. Stay away stay with the OG of pipes
My turn to own one
I got one for my Rastafarian brother for his birthday, He had never heard of of them and misread the emblem He said to me, this is the Rolls Royce pipe mon??? He always called it that. That was mid nineties. Bought another for someone else years later. Now its my turn, now that they cost twice as much! Oh well, it'll be the last pipe ill ever have to buy. Glad to see they're still around. Good work guys!
The best pipe, ever..
THE best pipe, ever.. lost mine a little over a year ago...no tobacco or ‘head shops seem to’ carry them... please tell me I can still get them?😎😎
