Proto Pipe Classic

I'm a 63 year old dude. The handmade pipe is very well done. Prison is tops. I've never been so excited about getting it for months. The last time I anticipated getting something in the mail since my captain crunch kit as a 5 year old. It operates better than expected. It's so well thought out. THANKS 🙏!

It is 1985, I am 15 yrs old living in my hometown Santa Fe NM. My friends and I would partake daily in God's medicine. I remember clearly coming across a Proto Pipe and buying it immediately. My friends couldn't believe the contraption I carried daily. One sunny warm Saturday, we were hanging out at a friend's house when his "delivery" guy stopped over to drop off the strangest Buds I had seen. The most purple little friends with red hairs throughout and a light frost all over. My Proto Pipe was put to the test. I don't remember what happened to it as the years went by. I do remember those glorious years of my youth.

1978 Eagles, Heart and the little river band in the Yale Bowl New Heaven Connecticut. When tailgating consisted of cold beer, cheap liquor, and whatever was the best smoke of the day. Usually something with a golden hue. That parking lot on that day in '78 was where I bought my first PP from a friend in need of some funds. I loved it, had it for the next 19 years. I lived in the Florida Keys at that time and had it stolen along with other items from my boat by local wannabe pirate hoodlums'. They took two high-end fishing reels and some dive equipment. I was way more upset losing my beloved PP than anything else. Now I have a new one, came the other day. I'll just say "it kind of restored my faith in humanity" Thanks for realizing its worth and reproducing what is arguably the most iconic pipe known.

I'm still using the same proto I've had since 1995. It's just so well made and well thought out. For me, the Proto Pipe classic is design perfection. Thanks for making such a great product!

My brand new ProtoPipe arrived yesterday and I am just elated. I ordered it, if I remember correctly, at the end of June knowing that it would be some time getting here but here it is just a few days before my birthday. Right on time! I guess I must have gotten my first one in a head shop in the late 70s. Sadly it did not survive my 21 year marriage. The now ex lost the trap and the poker. I still have the remains but this new one is exactly like it was and so shiny. It really is the best pipe ever designed and well worth the cost and the wait. Thank you PP!

I’m always interested in designs that have stood the test of time and have a storied history, and the proto pipe definitely checks those boxes. I bought one of these when they first got reintroduced and I love it. It’s legendary for a reason. Build quality is flawless and it functions perfectly. Don’t hesitate to pick one up!

Such a nice smoking pipe. I went with the original because I like finicky old things like my old zippos. Cleaning with olive oil is brilliant. It’s starting to get a nice patina. The best feature though is just how substantial it is. I find myself just fiddling with it even when I am not smoking. The design and the flip over lid make this a very efficient smoking pipe. Cleaning isn’t a big deal. It takes a little elbow grease. I honestly just use my pinky and a a good amount of olive oil for the bowl. Wipe out the ash and resin with a paper towel, and she’s back in business. I may need to get the full set?

Finally i have my own original proto pipe deluxe i found it at a hippie fest when I asked how much she said 40 bucks wow for this beauty man I'm in heaven thanks for making such a great pipe it will certainly be my favorite piece 5 star all the way.

I recieved mine in 1990 for a wedding gift from my Brother. My brother has since pasted but I still have the pipe and use it daily
