We encourage former inmates to seek assistance from companies like these when re-entering the job world.
There are a variety of organizations and agencies set up across the nation to help former inmates land secure jobs. If you or someone you know is in a similar situation, take a look at the organizations below for some guidance.
The staffing agency was created to find jobs for populations like former inmates. Their website states that they are “proud of our country and the protesters who have demanded racial justice after the tragic killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmad Arbery, and countless other Americans whose lives have been treated as expendable because of the color of their skin.”
The agency fights for the rights of those marginalized based on race and works hard to combat systemic racism through bail reform programs, re-entry programs, various collaborations to support criminal justice reform, and providing job opportunities to those in need.

Goodwill Industries partners with local agencies to offer re-entry services dedicated to helping former inmates land jobs. They provide skills training, resume creation, and clothing suitable for interviews.
Their comprehensive training and employment services helping men and women re-enter the job world offer a level of structure and support to boost confidence, build necessary skills, and set citizens up for a stable and productive life.

The construction agency’s mission is to “rebuild the lives of people in our community by encouraging self-sufficiency through skills training and education in the construction industry,” their website reads.
The agency serves people of color, people coming from incarceration, and low-income adults while also holding a youth summer camp to provide skills, motivation, and career paths.
The company’s goals are to help long-term unemployed people secure sustainable careers, increase workforce diversity, reduce recidivism, and meet hiring needs in the construction industry.
