When you’re in the mood for some comfort food post-smoke sesh, the Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart Cookbook is the perfect kitchen accessory.
Is there anything that Snoop Dogg hasn’t done? Last month, the rapper and entrepreneur announced that he’d be starring in the semi-autobiographical play Redemption of a Dogg. Now, the Snoop Dogg cookbook From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Da Boss Dogg’s Kitchen is out, and it’s everything we hoped that it would be.
The Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart cookbook isn’t just any regular cookbook; it features an in-depth narrative of Snoop Dogg’s life accompanied by the foods that have shaped that journey.
For example, the recipe for Snoop’s Mile High omelet is paired with a story about his first job at McDonald’s, where he shares that his manager called him ‘Young Eggs,’ a nickname he earned for his egg cracking skills.
The cookbook is a collaboration with long-time friend and business partner Martha Stewart. The recipes are for traditional favorites with twists à la Martha; the Mile High Omelette, for example, features the simple combination of eggs, fresh chives, and cheese.
The Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart cookbook comprises fifty original recipes, ranging from traditional comfort foods like fried-bologna sandwiches to baked mac and cheese to more sophisticated and high-end dishes like lobster and filet mignon.
The Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart cookbook is the first official cookbook under the rapper’s name. However, his history in the kitchen goes back quite some time.
In 2008, he made his debut on Martha Stewart’s famous homemaking show. A little less than a decade later, the duo now hosts a cooking show called Martha & Snoop’s Pot Luck Dinner, currently airing on VH1.
According to the New York Post, many of these classics have been ‘remixed’ with the help of Martha Stewart’s wisdom and intuition.
The Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart cookbook also features a variety of cocktails, such as the Gin and Juice Remix, which swaps the traditional orange juice with pineapple juice, and adds some apple vodka with the gin for a certified new classic.
Unfortunately, the cookbook isn’t a cannabis cookbook, but it certainly hooks us up with some easy recipes to make after any smoke sesh.
