Seth Rogen says he was “unfairly terminated.”
An actor and a rapper, both of whom are famous stoners, joined forces—albeit temporarily—over their mutual love of joints.
It all started in 2014, when Waka Flocka posted a career vacancy on both Instagram and Twitter, seeking a professional roller to do his daily blunt and joint bidding. The position’s salary began at $55,000 a year.
Inevitably, hundreds of hopefuls flooded Flocka’s mentions with photos of pristine blunts and joints, however, one candidate stood out.
That’s when Rogen hit up Flocka on Twitter with the following tweet:
Waka Flocka then sent out this tweet, confirming the chosen one:
And that seemed to be the end of it, until last April. While on Shade45—the morning hip-hop radio station founded by Eminem—Rogen gave more details about what went down with Flocka after the initial hire.
Basically, nothing came from the interaction: he didn’t roll anything and Flocka didn’t pay him. Shade45’s host, DJ Whoo Kidd, tried to get Waka Flocka on a live call to give his side of the story, but to no avail.
Once the interview aired, Flocka confirmed that he did indeed terminate Rogen from the role through a tweet. Rogen was not pleased:
While in the studio that same day, Rogen also managed to give a hip-hop rendition of Hava Nagila, and share his own funny story about edibles, which included Brian Cranston at the Golden Globes.
“I went to the Golden Globes, and I thought ‘Man, you know what would be fun to do at the Golden Globes? To have a weed lollipop, and that was a bad idea, because I got so fucking high, I had to leave that shit,” recalled Rogen. “My last clear memory is Bryan Cranson looking at me, going ‘You look fucked up, man! So yeah, don’t eat a weed pop at the Golden Globes.”
