Everything you need to know about Seth Rogen's Houseplant.
Actor, writer, and comedian Seth Rogen quickly made his way into the hearts of many stoners with weed-friendly movies like Pineapple Express, Superbad, This Is The End, just to name a few.
While countless interviews with Rogen helped us understand how fond he is of the marijuana plant, it wasn’t until 2019 that he expanded his passion for cannabis into a business venture with his weed brand, Houseplant.
The initial Houseplant launch was in Toronto alongside writing partner Evan Goldberg in partnership with Canadian cannabis developer Canopy Growth in 2019. Houseplant products didn’t meet the market until March 2021, when Rogen took to Twitter in a milestone moment about how long it took him to develop a brand representing his long-time relationship with cannabis.
In fact, when he made the announcement on Twitter on March 1, 2021, his Houseplant website crashed and wasn’t back up for 24 hours. In the video he posted to Twitter, Rogen said, “what we’re doing is bringing you the best strains of weed that have been handpicked — and by that I mean hand-smoked — by me!”
When opening up about why he started Houseplant, Seth mentioned, “Almost ten years I go, I envisioned having my own weed company.”
A decade in the making, the Pineapple Express actor also explained that “Houseplant is making lovely Housegoods like ashtrays, lighters, and YES, even ceramics.” If you’ve been staying up to date with Rogen throughout the pandemic.
One of the core Houseplant products is the sleek and bulky Block Table Lighter with a built-in ashtray that works as a lid. “I lose my lighters all the fucking time, but no more, because this dude is hard to lose,” he says.
Seth concluded that “This is just the beginning. This is honestly my life’s work, and I’ve never been more excited about anything.”
Houseplant products are available in the United States, with some products still available in Canada. Unfortunately, Rogen parted ways with Canopy Growth, which means the only Houseplant goods available in Canada are what’s remaining (flower, pre-rolls, soft gels, and beverages).

From someone who’s personally tried both of Houseplant’s renowned flower strains (Sativa – Chemdog & Indica – 91 Krypt), there’s no doubt any connoisseur will adore the powerful effects of both strains.
And then there’s the newly launched Houseplant Pre-Rolls, which are available in Pancake Ice (Sativa), Pink Moon (Indica), and Ice Fog (Hybrid). Not to mention the stress-free and smoke-free Houseplant Soft Gels, which come in Sativa and Indica.
Finally, scarf it down with the Houseplant Beverages, coming in Grapefruit, Lemon, and Lime, infused with a Sativa strain to uplift any social setting.
