A Quick Guide To Improve Your Vaping Technique

Here's how to vape like a pro. Created with Stiiizy.

So you just bought your first cannabis vape, and you’re wondering how to use it.

While it might seem straightforward, just hit the button and inhale; there are several dos and don’ts of vaping.

We made this guide in collaboration with vape masters at Stiiizy, helping you find the right product for your cannabis needs.

Let’s start out with what you shouldn’t do when hitting your weed vape. First, you want to avoid short, quick hits.

While regular cigarettes are physically burning and are best smoked with short hits, vapes have to heat up in order to produce vapor.

Taking quick drags might result in a mouthful of liquid, which is truly as unpleasant as it sounds.

This next tip might be difficult, but it’s a must. We suggest you avoid taking consistent back-to-back hits, or what’s called “chain vaping.”

Your Stiiizy vape battery can probably take up to seven pulls until you feel getting hot. When this happens, set it aside and wait a few minutes until cooled down.

Constant vaping can cause a sore throat, irritation, and what’s called “vapor’s tongue,” where your taste buds burn out.

Now that you’re aware of what to avoid, here’s what you should do when smoking a cannabis vape.

Upon the first draw, make sure you’re pulling at a slow and steady pace until your mouth is full of dense vapor.

Some say this method is like smoking a cigar, but the only difference is that you inhale this cloud of vapor.

We suggest filling it in your mouth first because the concentrated liquid can be absorbed through the mucus membranes in the mouth, and later the lungs and nose.

Once you hold the vapor in your mouth for about 3-5 seconds, slowly inhale it. This last step is the most important one; we encourage you to wait a minute or two until taking another draw.

When hitting a joint, bong, or pipe, what’s the one thing they all have in common? Their instant onset of effects.

When vaping concentrated cannabis, it can take 30 seconds to one minute to feel the full effects. So don’t rush back to your vape and hit it again because this could result in too strong of a high and one you weren’t anticipating.
