One Las Vegas Dispensary Helped Couples Tie The Knot With Weed-Themed Weddings

Love was in the air yesterday, and some couples even decided to make it official and get married—cannabis style. California has seen its fair share of weed weddings, and they’re quickly popping up in legalized states. 

One dispensary in Las Vegas announced that in honor of Valentine’s Day yesterday, it would host marijuana-themed weddings to reflect that part of the culture and a beloved aspect of a cannabis consumer’s lifestyle. 

Planet 13 is the largest dispensary in Las Vegas, and thanks to its new partnership with Cannabis Tours, couples can choose to hold a weed wedding with bud bouquets, a green cake, delicious finger-food munchies, and a scenic helicopter ride after the big celebration. 

According to News 3, these weddings only demonstrate the cannabis lifestyle, as smoking and consumption during the event are prohibited. A happily married couple who just celebrated their vow renewal at Planet 13 spoke to the news outlet to explain why a weed wedding was important to them. 

J.C. and Leilani Coats said marijuana had been more than beneficial in their lives, and celebrating their shared love for cannabis with a themed wedding was just what they needed. 

“We both have removed alcohol and opiates from our life,” J.C. Coats explained to News 3. He added that thanks to cannabis, he and his spouse are happily on their journey to wellness. “We use it for health and wellness right, and that’s why it’s been special to us,” he concluded.
