Jim Belushi Talks New Season Of “Growing Belushi,” Belushi’s Farm, & Growing In Oregon

Here's what to expect in season 2 of "Growing Belushi."

Jim Belushi’s season 2 of “Growing Belushi” is right around the corner, and the actor is hoping the new season will push his cannabis empire even further.

In an interview with the New York Post, Belushi said his team was always on a professional level in terms of the quality cannabis they are growing, “it’s very specific, artesian, and boutique,” he says.

He then touched on Blues Brothers’ cannabis that was “selling like mad” during the first season of Growing Belushi, with help from Dan Akroyd and Judy Belushi Pisano. He said that his team ran out of inventory because of the hot-commodity cannabis products, “So that kind of forced my hand, and we had to expand.”

“Growing Belushi” season 1 premiered in August 2020, and it helped viewers understand the 67-year-old actor’s cannabis business at Belushi’s Farm, a 93-acre farm in Southern Oregon’s “Banana Belt.” Season 2 will premiere on January 19 on Discovery, where Belushi and his team will make new adjustments to the farm to begin expanding operations throughout the country.

Belushi told New York Post that the second season is all about the farm’s expansion. Specialty hydroponic and organic garden center GrowGeneration helped Belushi rebuild the farm and expand inventory in Oregon and other states. Belushi’s Farm products are now available in Oklahoma, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Michigan, and Arizona.

Although Belushi says some of his success with Belushi’s Farm stems from the popular show “Growing Belushi,” he’s very proud of his dedication and hard work to establish Belushi’s Farm as a bona fide, respected business in his native state Oregon.

He told the New York Post that it took him “three years to gain credibility in [Oregon’s] market,” a state that knows their cannabis well. Belushi said a “Hollywood guy coming in with an autograph and selfie doesn’t impress anyone.” He had to earn his stripes and deliver quality cannabis to Oregon while hoping the state would welcome him as a grower and professional farmer.

Expanding on season 2 of “Growing Belushi,” he said we should see some familiar faces and celebrity appearances like Dan Akroyd and celebrity chef and Food Network star Guy Fieri.

Fieri was allegedly doing a tour with 18 campers, three trucks, and 30 people when he called Belushi and asked to see his farm. The entire crew then packed together inside a small cafe while Fieri strolled the grounds with Belushi
