Lil Kim Announces New Cannabis Collaboration

It looks like cannabis is an aphrodisiac after all.

The newest celebrity to make way into the cannabis industry is hip-hop icon, Lil Kim. The Grammy award-winning recording artist announced that she was in partnership with California-based cannabis companies CampNova and Superbad during this year’s MJBizCon in Las Vegas to launch their new line entitled Aphrodisiac.

At the convention, Lil Kim expressed her excitement to collab CEO and founder of Superbad, Inc., Carlos Dew. “Carlos has built a seasoned team around him. I like what I see,” she noted. It’s estimated that we should see Aphrodisiac products available online in early 2022. The company will also sell merchandise and other accessories.

Lil Kim announced that partnering with cannabis e-commerce technology marketing platform, CampNova, will bring “exclusive curated content and swag not available anywhere else.” CampNova’s co-founder Marvin Wilcher was also eager to partner with the style icon and rapper. “Lil Kim wants to have a close relationship with her fans, and that is what we will deliver. Through CampNova’s authentic fan engagement and star-studded roster, we will provide the baddest for the best.”

Dew wanted to highlight the societal importance of Lil Kim’s forthcoming cannabis line, “These types of business ventures foster meaningful conversations that stem beyond products, hip hop or fashion, but empower our communities and culture. We have the opportunity to empower more women and minorities — in or trying to enter the cannabis space.”

To lend a helping hand, Lil Kim is planning to launch workshops focused on the cannabis industry to offer support, resources, and guidance, especially to women and minorities. “I am empowering other women and like-minded people who are willing to work hard, like myself,” she expressed. “I plan on mastering this craft while Superbad inc. works alongside a superbad girl.”

Lil Kim isn’t the only one using her cannabis line for the greater good. We recently saw hip-hop legend and entrepreneur Jay-Z announce that he wants to bring equity and justice to the cannabis industry after being named chief visionary officer of The Parent Company Holldng Corp. last year.

Chris Webber also co-founded a $100 million private equity cannabis fund to support businesses in low-income communities through a two-and-a-half-month cannabis training program across California. He hopes to employ up to 5000 people in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan. Not to mention the countless celebrities pushing to legalize cannabis across the US like Al Harrington, Joe Rogan, and more; it’s clear that the end goal is to destigmatize and legalize cannabis for broader acceptance.
