Is THC or CBD safe while carrying a child?
Pregnancy is nothing short of a life-changing journey, and one that comedian Amy Schumer is candidly sharing with the public after revealing the initial news in October 2018.
At the half-way mark in her pregnancy, Schumer remains vocal about her experiences on social media and web segments, including the difficulty of abstaining from smoking pot.
As a guest on Today’s 6 Minute Marathon with Savannah, host Savannah Guthrie touched-base with Schumer on the highs and lows of carrying a child. Her stylist, Leesa Evans, joined her.
The trio chatted about pregnancy, a new collaborative clothing line, Schumer’s arrest while protesting Kavanaugh, and weed.
Guthrie asked the pair as many questions as the six-minute time granted. She interviewed Schumer specifically about her life experiences, kicking things off by asking her how she likes to unwind.
“Usually marijuana,” she replied, bluntly.
Though Guthrie chuckled, she steered the conversation towards Schumer’s new clothing line, Le Cloud, the main purpose of Schumer’s appearance on the program.
“Yes, we are promoting something,” she said, “I was just thinking about how I miss weed.”
Schumer really loves weed. Last November, even Ellen DeGeneres told Gayle King (Oprah’s BFF) that Schumer really wants to smoke up with her.
The Daily Mail notes that another difficulty of her pregnancy is dealing with hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition that leaves the Trainwreck and I Feel Pretty star feeling nauseous frequently.
If you managed to catch our recent article about smoking weed and pregnancy, you’ll know that it’s a risky decision.
On the other hand, CBD, the non-psychoactive cannabinoid in cannabis known as cannabidiol, poses fewer risks than smoking or using THC. Research on the effects of CBD and pregnancy, however, is still in the infantile stages; pardon the pun.
