Ding dong, it's Cheech & Chong.
Beloved cannabis activists and connoisseurs Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong launched a new cannabis delivery service yesterday with wide-ranging products, including from the duo’s own line.
Cheech & Chong’s Takeout is officially available for delivery throughout California and gives options for faster delivery like 60-minute express. Browse through more than 300 products that you can trust Cheech and Chong would use themselves. One of the great things about the new service is delivery is entirely free and does not require a minimum purchase.
Aaron Silverman, chief marketing officer of Cheech and Chong’s Takeout, spoke with The Coast News alongside comedian, entrepreneur, and activist himself Tommy Chong to discuss the new launch. Silverman stated that Takeout ensures customers get their deliveries on time no matter where they are, thanks to “several distribution centers throughout the state with upwards of 100 drivers on the road at any given time.”

According to Cheech & Chong’s Takeout website, it promises only to deliver the highest quality “lab-tested, pesticide-free medicinal and recreational products that California has to offer.” Consumers can browse through varieties of cannabis products then follow their order through its constantly-updated status. Consumers can also schedule a delivery time for the utmost convenience.
Chong later told the outlet that his and Marin’s delivery service was formed due to the rise in deliveries services for industries like food and groceries because of the ongoing pandemic. The dynamic duo felt inclined to step up and help Californians get their hands on what they need, just like they do with other essentials.
While we know Cheech & Chong for smoking up and getting stoned on their legendary and trailblazing pro-pot movies, they’re not always raving about THC products. Chong has made clear his admiration for hemp and CBD products used as medicine to help relieve chronic pain, improve sleep, and increase the quality of life in general.

Silverman and Chong also spoke with The Coast News about the latter’s constant efforts to help the country federally legalize cannabis. 83-year-old Chong mentioned that cannabis is a “miracle plant,” and he advocates its use not just for kicking back with a fun recreational high but also for taking it seriously as medicine for various conditions. He even attests the plant helped beat his cancer, not once but twice.
He’s a firm believer in the medicinal value and benefits of cannabis “as far as the healing of the body goes,” he told the outlet. “Cannabis gives you an appetite; it gives you a sense of humor…weed opens the mind.”
