- In a large bowl, thoroughly mix your coconut oil, meat, cabbage, carrots, ginger, garlic, scallion whites, Japanese 7-Spice, and 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce.
- Lay a wrapper on a clean, dry surface. Using your finger or a brush, spread a bit of egg along half its circumference.
- Place the dumplings on a plate; if you want to wait before cooking, cover the plate with plastic wrap, and refrigerate it. Or, freeze it for up to two weeks.
- Put your oil in a large nonstick skillet and turn heat to medium-high, and let it heat up for a minute.
- Add dumplings, one at a time; they can touch one another, but should still sit flat in one layer. Cook about 2 minutes, or until bottoms are lightly browned, and most of the oil has been absorbed.
- Flip the dumplings, and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes, add half of your Dank Dipping Sauce, and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the sauce thickens to the desired consistency.
