This spring, Nashville is about to get its very first cannabis restaurant. Reports say the upcoming restaurant, aptly named Buds & Brews, will be in the heart of Nashville’s Germantown.

Not only will Buds & Brews be the first cannabis restaurant in the city, but the entire state. Surely, with the constantly evolving marijuana laws, the new restaurant will mark the first of many cannabis-infused eateries in Tennessee. 

Craft Cannabis will provide Buds & Brews with hemp-derived THC condiments. The cannabis producer currently has nine retail locations, “The Holistic Connection,” throughout Tennessee.

Inside the upcoming restaurant and bar, guests will feast on your classic American dishes and are also invited to catch sports games on the many televisions. 

The restaurant’s founder, Michael Solomon, first dabbled in the world of cannabis business in 2019 after spending ten long years in California learning the ins and outs of cannabis cultivation and becoming a licensed medical producer. He was patiently waiting for the federal government to pass a bill making hemp production legal, which we saw with the 2018 Farm Bill. 

Solomon is still growing his plants in his hometown of Nashville and is incredibly excited to see where Tennessee’s cannabis industry is headed next. 

All the dishes at Buds & Brews will be created by renowned Nashville chef Sam McGee, who won’t be creating cannabis-infused dishes, but will serve the THC sauces on the side and spoons for accurate dosages. Although, there will be options for desserts and beverages with hemp-derived THC. 

The restaurant’s policies have noted its dishes infused with THC are only allowed to be consumed on the property and cannot be packaged for sale. While we wait for Buds & Brews to open this April or May at 1246 3rd Avenue in North Germantown, check out the restaurant’s website here.
