TikToker ‘Doggface’ Arrested In Idaho For Marijuana Possession

Later released on bond, officers discovered edibles and marijuana paraphernalia in Doggface's vehicle.

You might know Doggface for his viral TikTok in 2020, skateboarding in his home state of Idaho with Ocean Spray’s Cran-Raspberry Juice in hand and Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” playing in the background.

It didn’t take long for viewers to love his vibe and want more from @420doggface208. As he raked in the views and landed 7.4 million followers on TikTok, Nathan “Doggface” Apodaca later paired up with Snoop Dogg, Klypso, War, and even George Lopez for a music video dubbed “Low Rider (No Lighter)” this past April.

The music video was clearly an homage to marijuana, as it began with cannabis legends Cheech and Chong sparking up a massive blunt with Doggface and, ironically, a police officer.

Doggface has always been open about his cannabis use, but his leniency with it landed him in Idaho jail for several hours.

Late last week, Apodaca was arrested in his home state of Idaho for marijuana possession. Idaho State Police pulled him over after noticing an expired registration tag. As they approached his Chevy Silverado, the officers noticed the smell of weed coming from his car.

Apodaca then opened his glovebox to expose cannabis edibles and later admitted to having other marijuana products in the car. He exited the vehicle, and police discovered three packages of THC gummies and a dabbing tool covered in a sticky substance, most likely resin.

Oddly enough, Doggface expressed in a statement to TMZ that officers had failed to read his Miranda rights upon arresting him.

“When officers found weed, they said they were only going to write a ticket. They then found a gun and told me I was under arrest because I had a felony on my record, and I wasn’t allowed to possess a firearm. However, I do not have a felony on my record, which I told the officers.”

Despite his efforts to tell officers about his lack of a felony, he was taken into custody. He sat in jail for hours without bond before law enforcement notified him of their mistake regarding his felony. Officers then informed him that he was only being held on a weed charge and could leave on a $600 bond.

Cannabis is still illegal in Idaho, where Doggface was pulled over and arrested. The state is known for having some of the harshest laws around cannabis in the United States. Recreational and medical use is not legal in Idaho, and possession of up to three ounces is considered a misdemeanor that can result in a fine of $1,000 or up to a year in jail.
