Recent Hip-Hop Releases All Stem From Proud Cannabis Connoisseurs

From Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J's 'Stoner's Night' to Snoop Dogg's latest ventures, cannabis advocates in hip-hop aren't slowing down.

The past few weeks have been incredible for hip-hop music, especially from names we know and love who also happen to be proud cannabis enthusiasts

A new album that was basically created for all of us, dubbed ‘Stoner’s Night,’ was Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa’s second full-length album collaboration. This time around, the boys featured artists like Project Pat, Elle Varner, and BIG30.

The album carries 13 heavy tracks and production from renowned industry veteran Juiceman. On the other hand, Project Pat has long been working with Juicy J as a part of 90s hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia. Pat was featured on the album’s lead single, “Backseat.”

And then there’s Wiz Khalifa, who co-created this album as his first record since releasing ‘Wiz Got Wings’ in 2021 alongside Sledgren and Cardo. This is also Juiceman’s first reappearance to the music scene since dropping the deluxe album of ‘The Hustle Still Continues’ in 2021.

The entrepreneur, weed-lover, and rapper Snoop Dogg also had his fair share of attention this past month. It all started when he and other legendary artists teamed up for an epic Super Bowl halftime show.

But, just days before that, Snoop had released his 24th album, ‘BODR,’ featuring 18 tracks with other talented names like Nas, Dababy, The Game, and production by Hit-Boy and others. Snoop made history after the album dropped on February 11 when he officially purchased the entire Death Row brand from MNRK Music Group.

Death Row Records signed Snoop in the early 90s and took his career to heights he could never imagine. Suge Knight originally owned the label, but now, it lies in the hands of Snoop, a man of the past, present, and future.

After his Super Bowl performance alongside Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, and Eminem, Snopp also launched a new store in California named “Snoop Doggs,” featuring music, merch, and collectibles.
