The new collaboration between Six Hundred Four and Cypress Hill is a cannabis enthusiast’s dream.
Vancouver-based luxury shoemaker Six Hundred Four has announced a special edition pair of shoes dedicated to Cypress Hill’s hit record Black Sunday, purposefully created for cannabis enthusiasts.
Aside from the fact that the shoes are crafted using hemp, they also subtly feature a bong weaved into the shoe’s design, as well as a hidden compartment underneath the shoe’s tongue that can hold weed.
Subtlety is a central theme in Six Hundred Four’s approach for these shoes, with a desire to make cannabis-themed footwear without gimmicks.
The clothiers have quite the knack for making unique shoe-collaborations with artists, including previous work with the likes of Def Leppard, Joanne Hasti, Kari Kristensen, and Sean Karemaker.
The company is the brainchild of pro-golfer, James Shepp, who said in a press release that the idea for the shoes was born with subtlety, authenticity, and taste in mind, all of which he felt most companies designing for cannabis enthusiasts aren’t doing.
“Typically marijuana-themed shoes are obvious ‘stoner’ shoes, rarely providing a premium feel,” explained Shepp. “This collection, however, gives the wearer more than just a premium clean-looking sneaker, but also a story-filled shoe packed with historical, current and futuristic cannabis vibes, all of which are influenced by Cypress Hill’s Black Sunday album.”
Even the legend himself, B-Real, shared his thoughts about the shoe crafted in honor of his band.
“In many ways, this sneaker reflects exactly what we’re about as music creators—unwavering pro-cannabis artistry,” he said. “It has the most marijuana-themed elements of any shoe out there, yet those elements are only discoverable to those who really understand us.”
Six Hundred Four’s innovative take on the Cypress Hill edition of sneakers comes in four color schemes: Bud (green), Glass (blue), Cherry Ember (red), and Quadruple Smoke (black). Each pair also features minimal design, representing the hills of East LA and close to the group’s original neighborhood.
While the shoes are pending release, they are currently available for pre-order, with plans to ship during spring of next year. There will only be—you guessed it—six hundred and four pairs available. Once they’re gone, they’re gone forever.
