Cheech Marin & Chef Zach Neil To Launch “Muncheechos” In Ghost Kitchens Across The U.S.

Meet Muncheechos, your new munchie haven.

Cheech & Chong’s Cheech Marin has had his share of munchies over the years and probably the most delicious ones any cannabis user could imagine. Now, he wants to bring those tasty, late-night experiences to the nation.

Marin will be pairing up with award-winning chef Zach Neil to create Muncheechos, a virtual brand that specifically creates “stoner food,” operated out of ghost kitchens throughout the United States.

Cheech Marin has witnessed the marijuana market evolve since making waves in the 70s with Tommy Chong through stand-up routines, countless counterculture-friendly movies, and studio recordings. But smoking weed in the 70s was as illegal as it ever was, but the duo knew exactly what market they were targetting and watched the blossoming industry unfold right before their red, hazy eyes.

Now that cannabis is legal for recreational use in 18 states and more on the rise, we’re expecting some big numbers to come from the industry in the coming years. According to market research firm Headset, the cannabis industry in the U.S. will reach $30 billion in sales come 2023.

Although there is an abundance of “stoner food” out there, like our delicious Taco Bell (and its secret menu), Muncheechos’ press release says the brand will be the first to specifically offer “stoner food” to cannabis consumers as their target demographic.

If you’re reading this hungry, maybe turn away because Muncheechos’ menu is enough to make your mouth water. The “Dope Dumplings” are chicken and scallion-stuffed fried dumplings, “Muncheechos Munchachos” are the flavorful BBQ chicken mac and cheese nachos, and “The Hybrid” is a sweet and savory grilled cheese with gouda, brie, cheddar, gruyere, sliced apple, and a salted caramel drizzle.

Even better, Muncheechos will offer various vegan options alongside CBD edibles for cannabidiol fans. There is no brick-and-mortar Muncheechos locations, as it’s solely a virtual brand that serves and delivers food through various ghost kitchens in the nation.

In the brand’s press release last week, it read that the surge in demand for delivered meals peaked at 8,000% from 2020-2021. With the new virtual brand, LATF USA notes that Muncheechos will be taking advantage of three prominent food and beverage markets: the post-covid homebody economy, the growing delivery market, and cannabis.

Most individuals ordering from ghost kitchens often have a pleasant experience since ghost kitchens are chock-full of menus that reflect a local area’s eating habits and favorite locations. If you’ve read this far, chances are you’re the main demographic for Muncheechos…a tasty meal awaits.
