A Look At Houseplant’s New Line Of Pre-Rolls

Calling California pot users and Seth Rogen fans, Houseplant's new pre-rolls are finally available throughout the state.

You know you’re in for a treat when smoking some classic and beloved Houseplant weed from none other than long-time cannabis connoisseur Seth Rogen. You can always trust that Rogen wouldn’t put out a product that doesn’t have his complete stamp of approval, making Houseplant all the more intriguing.

In terms of celebrity cannabis brands, Seth Rogen’s Houseplant has become one of the most popular in North America. Not to mention other marijuana aficionados like Snoop Dogg and Jay-Z, there’s something about a celebrity-backed brand that makes you want to try some of the goodies your favorite icons enjoy on a daily basis.

Enter Houseplant’s new pre-rolls, now available in Pancake Ice (Sativa), Pink Moon (Indica), and Ice Fog (Hybrid). The pre-rolls are only available in California through select dispensaries and come in sets of seven 0.5 joints rolled in a thin and health-friendly rice paper.

We’ve gathered some information from individuals around California who’ve already tried Rogen’s delicious new pre-rolls to give you the inside scoop on what to expect.

Uproxx’s Dane Rivera gave the Pink Moon pre-rolls a try, which come in at a high and mighty 27.4% THC. Not to his surprise, the rolls weren’t as fresh as Houseplant’s renowned flower, but it’s a given considering the herb inside the pre-rolls has been ground and exposed to air longer than the brand’s packaged flower.

Additionally, the pre-rolls offer a short and stubby appearance, but don’t let that steer you onto other brands with long and thin pre-rolls. Houseplant’s Pink Moon joints are rolled to perfection with a paper tip filter and come with a vintage set of wooden matches to free the user of unwanted tastes of butane.

Just because these pre-rolls are short doesn’t mean they don’t pack a heavy punch. Rivera experienced that sensation first hand while explaining the joints are perfect to “elevate your headspace before hitting the beach, catching that late-night movie, or a dinner meet-up.”

More specifically, the general effects produced by Houseplant’s Pink Moon Pre-Rolls offer a blissed state of mind and body. The soothing high and cerebral waves of euphoria are enough to keep you lifted, social, and away from the couch. However, because Pink Moon is an Indica, prolonged use throughout the day may cause some evening tiredness and lethargy.

Rivera notes the sweet, tangy, citrus, and peppery hints offered by the pre-roll are most likely a result of the terpene profile with Limonene, Caryophyllene, and Linalool. Overall, anyone who’s already tried Houseplant’s new Pre-Rolls not only recommends it for hardcore cannabis users but anyone looking to experience a refreshing and relaxing sesh.
