Give your roach a second life with a quick re-roll.
When it comes to your weed, every bit counts.
Those stubby ends left over after smoking your joint, known as joint roaches, are usually too tightly packed and small to hold without burning your fingertips.
But the humble roach isn’t just a remnant to be discarded—oh no. Packed inside this tiny trooper is a concentration of resin that has built up during the smoking session, making it extremely potent and worth reusing.
Let’s learn how to roll roach joints or how to roll a roach for a blunt when in a pinch.

If you’re aiming to extend your stash and save some cash, reusing a roach can be a smart, cost-effective solution.
Roaches are rich in resin—a sticky substance full of cannabinoids that collects at the end of a joint, making it quite potent. For a lot of people, that extra potency makes re-smoking roaches worthwhile.
But keep in mind, all that resin and accumulated tar can make for a much harsher smoke, which isn’t great if you’re after a smooth, flavorful session.

There are a couple of practical methods you can use to reroll your roach:
1. Incorporate the roach into a new joint, adding fresh cannabis flower to the mix to dilute the harshness of the resin-rich roach.
2. Dismantle the roach and roll a smaller, skinnier joint—perfect for a personal smoke without the commitment of a full joint.

Carefully break open the roach and remove any burnt bits. Spread its contents evenly on new rolling paper, and if you choose to add fresh cannabis, sprinkle it along the length of the paper.
Place the filter at one end of the rolling paper. Pinch the paper between your fingertips and roll it back and forth to shape the cannabis into a cylinder. Once it’s shaped, tuck the side of the paper that doesn’t contain the adhesive, roll it tightly and then lick and seal the adhesive side.
Pack the end of the joint to make sure you get an even burn.
Light up and enjoy!
Got a bunch of leftover roaches and want something bigger than a joint?
That’s where a roach blunt comes in—it’s most ideal for using up all those roaches in one solid smoke session.
To roll a roach blunt:
1. Gather all your roach beauties. Break them open to collect the leftover weed, or just break them apart—paper and all—into smaller pieces with your fingers, a knife, or scissors. Keeping the paper adds a bit more of that concentrated goodness.
2. Prep the blunt wrap. Grab your blunt wrap and spread the roach contents evenly. Adding a bit of regular flower can make rolling easier, since the roaches alone can be pretty sticky.
3. Roll it up. If you’re adding regular flower, sprinkle it along the blunt to help balance out the roaches. Roll it (not too tight, not too loose), seal it, and you’re ready to smoke.
It might not be the smoothest hit, but a roach blunt will definitely give you a potent, budget-friendly session.
