Recipe: THCV Banana Bread

Your favorite banana treat just got better. Created with Spyglass Wellness.

If you’ve been on any social media for the past two years, then you might’ve heard about the “baking” (pun intended) era during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Back at the beginning of lockdown, people were desperate for hobbies and activities they could do safely from the comfort of their homes, instead of outdoor gatherings and social events.

This led to many trying their hand at cooking and baking, particularly bread and, more so, banana bread.

So it’s natural that eventually, those who consider themselves knowledgeable in all-things THC made their way to the flour, eggs, chocolate chips, and bananas to combine two fantastic experiences: the joy of baking and enjoying the goods, as well as getting high.

If that sounds like the type of team you’d like to participate in, then let us share with you our favorite recipe for THCV-infused banana bread.

Ingredients

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 2 bananas (large, very ripe, well mashed)
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 ml of Spyglass Wellness Lingua THCV+ tincture

Instructions

  1. Always start by preheating your oven to 176º Celsius.
  2. Spray your pan with oil, or butter the inside.
  3. As usual, start by mixing wet and dry ingredients separately. Place the mashed bananas, canola oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, the drops Lingua™ THCV+ tincture, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Whisk vigorously until smooth and combined.
  4. Add the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to the bowl. Continue whisking until the mixture is just combined evenly. Remember! It might be a little clunky, but that’s a part of the consistency. Add your chocolate chips, but save a few to add after you’ve poured the mix.
  5. Pour the batter into your pan, add on top those chocolate chips you set aside and bake for 55-65 minutes. If you want to check if it’s sufficiently baked (the bread, not yourself), poke it with a toothpick, and if it comes out completely dry and clean, then you’re ready to take it out of the oven!
  6. Finally, enjoy! Although do yourself a favor (and us, to avoid liability) and wait until the bread has cooled down before serving. You can continually heat a slice by placing it in the microwave for 5-10 seconds. Also, feel free to serve with a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Thank us later.

Why THCV?

Photo by Connor Fyfe for Herb

THCV is an appetite suppressant, so it might seem ironic almost to be adding it to any meal; however, this molecular simile to regular THC has more benefits beyond aiding your stomach’s uncontrollable hunger.

It’s a great, natural alternative for those looking to regulate their blood sugar levels and even help with anxiety by reducing panic attacks.

From diminishing any physical inflammation to even stimulating bone growth in adults, this hemp product is extracted to help users’ energy and focus, which will improve their overall wellbeing.

The Lingua THCV+ tincture is a compliment, not a medical solution; it is meant to be seen as vitamins and supplements that will help you feel better throughout the day, combined with other self-care practices so that you can see actual improvement.

It’s gluten-free, keto-approved, and vegan friendly and has a non-invasive taste that won’t overpower other ingredients and meals you might mix it with.

So, when you’re thinking about making another batch of sweet and fluffy banana bread for yourself or your friends, consider adding a couple of drops of this strong 1,000 mg THCV tincture to make for a one-of-a-kind treat.
