I tried Dr. Dabber CBD Pens for a month. Here’s what happened. Created with Dr. Dabber.
A good vape pen can be hard to find these days. With so many options, it’s sometimes difficult to separate the excellent from the riffraff. When I found out that Dr. Dabber was launching a new line of CBD Vape Pens, I was super excited—Dr. Dabber has been putting out high-quality vapes for years, and they’re one of the few companies out there that consistently puts out successful and reliable products.
Ingredients are one of the first things I look at when I shop for vapor cartridges. A trustworthy company will always post their ingredient lists, which means that you can quickly scan for any questionable additives. As expected, Dr. Dabber’s new CBD cartridges feature just two simple ingredients:
In my opinion, it’s hard to get any better than this. Instead of adding artificial flavorings or other chemicals, these cartridges contain terpenes that are already found in the cannabis plant. That means that all you’re inhaling is natural botanical extracts, not any of that questionable synthetic stuff.
There are four different options for you to try, all of them with premium quality and additive-free CBD distillate that Dr. Dabber offers. Check them out below:
My next favorite thing about Dr. Dabber is their transparency. I’m one of those people that likes to know what I’m ingesting, and Dr. Dabber makes it easy. Each cartridge box contains a QR code, that you can scan to see the batch testing results for the product.
Plus, Dr. Dabber lists batch-specific lab results on every product page, so you can see exactly what you’re getting before you buy. In my humble opinion, I think this should be standard for all vape pens. Dr. Dabber is extremely transparent about what is in their vape, and they make accessing that information easy for consumers.
These cartridges are THC-free, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not filled with active cannabinoids. Scanning the QR codes on the packages led to all kinds of fun surprises. All of the cartridges contained over 32 percent CBD. But, all of them contained decent concentrations of minor cannabinoids as well.
Perhaps the most shocking array came from the Original Blend, which contained CBD, CBDv, CBG, CBC, and CBN. All minor cannabinoids that help color the overall experience of the concentrate. Although, it’s important to keep in mind that these testing results will vary from cartridge to cartridge.
Personally, I love that Dr. Dabber uses only natural terpenes to flavor their CBD pens. E-cigs and other cartridges often use chemical flavorings to mask any herbal taste in their product. But, these Dr.Dabber cartridges are more authentic—they retain the flavors naturally present in the plant.
Still, I was honestly surprised that each cartridge featured such distinct tastes. Perhaps the most surprising was the Fresh Blend, which I felt had a distinct sour apple flavor and even a slight sweetness. After scanning the QR code on the box, I was pleasantly surprised again when I saw that pinene was the dominant terpene in the cartridge; a terpene often associated with a crisp pine aroma.
Other flavors seemed subtly sweet, too, like their Original Blend which reminded me of herbal bubble gum. They also sell a Robust Blend and a Citrus Blend that are more of a treat to your palate.
Now, let’s take a look at the battery. Dr. Dabber CBD cartridges can fit on any 510 threaded battery. But, I think their branded batteries are pretty high-quality on their own. The most important feature? Adjustable temperature controls. Vape pens that burn too hot still risk combusting the concentrate.
But, the Dr. Dabber battery features three heat settings, allowing you to control how hot your battery gets. In my experience, the lowest setting offered the most flavor and is my preferred setting. The highest setting produced much thicker clouds and a notably more robust experience. This would be a great setting for anyone searching for a more dab-like concentrate experience.
After hanging on these vape pens for a month, I had ample time to test these vape pens out. Like most vape pens, of course, they fit easily in my coat pocket, which meant that I could pull them out while out-and-about or running errands. The battery life is fairly long, lasting for about the duration of the cartridge.
Inhaling from this vape was a comfortable experience, especially in the lowest temperature setting. The only time I coughed was after taking a large inhalation on the highest setting, which made my throat tickle a bit. I believe that the CBD helped me feel calmer and more relaxed throughout the day, but everyone will have their own experience with the cannabinoid. If I puffed on the pen multiple times in a row, I sometimes noticed that I felt a little sleepy and subdued afterward.
The final verdict? All in all, I think that these are very good vape pens. I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a more authentic CBD experience.
