Because today is World Vegan Day, here are some ways to incorporate healthy eats into your munchies routine.
More often than not, mother nature bestows her all-natural and organic gifts right underneath our noses, but we’re too focused on the eye-pulling products that aren’t necessarily good for us.
In honor of World Vegan Day, we’ve decided to help you find ways to satisfy your munchies in the healthiest way possible. Here are five of our favorite healthy plant-based snacks for those post-sesh munchies.

You could always opt for regular vegetables, especially favorites like carrots, celery, and peppers, but when looking for more of a savory and salty crunch, vegetable chips will do the trick.
Go ahead and whip out your sweet potato, kale, seaweed, or other vegetables, chop them up into thin pieces, dab with olive oil, sprinkle with salt (optional), and pop them in the oven! These chips are delicious if you find yourself almost addicted to junk food; they’re like a gateway food into the realm of healthy eats.

From time to time, we all crave a snack that comes right from the box without any kitchen labor. Enter plant-based bars; a perfect way to satisfy your munchies while staying healthy and guilt-free. KIND is a leading vegan snack company that creates an abundance of plant-based bars that are also high in protein. Good To Go is another top contender with keto and vegan-friendly snack bars.

When looking for healthy munchies, you don’t always think of popcorn, especially when most microwavable popcorn packages come drenched in butter and aren’t vegan-friendly. However, you can always go for a healthier version of the movie night treat by purchasing organic popcorn kernels from your local grocery store.
Dash a bit of vegetable oil in a pan, then dump your kernels in (a little go a long way). Make sure you’re moving the pan to avoid sticking and burning, keep the lid on, and wait for the crazy popping! When you’re done, salt the popcorn if you still crave that savory taste.

There’s nothing like fresh fruit, but for a sweeter and more chewy sensation, dried fruit is where it’s at. There is some sugar added to dried fruits, but many companies pride themselves on their all-natural ingredients. A prime example of this is Sunny Fruit’s Organic Dried Figs that are simply organic figs and water. Some other dried fruits we adore are apples, raisins, dates, and cranberries.

Although it requires a little prep and work, a refreshing smoothie will leave your palette pleased and tummy full. Smoothies are great because they allow individuals to use their favorite ingredients to make a flavorful, healthy snack.
Our favorite blends are strawberry banana, mango kiwi, and pineapple blueberry. You can also throw in some spinach or kale to get their healthy vitamins and minerals without tasting the vegetables (depending on how much you use).
