How To Roll A Rose Petal Blunt Step By Step Guide

If you want to know what rose blunts are and how to roll them, you've come to the right place.

Rose petals have been added to weed cigarettes since the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Not only do they look especially pretty, but they also make for a smoother smoke as they contain a small amount of rose essential oil that soothes the throat and reduces coughing.

Let’s take a look into how to roll a rose blunt, including tips and tricks to help you roll the perfect one for an ultimate smoke sesh.

What To Do Before Rolling A Rose Blunt

First, avoid supermarket roses, as they are loaded with pesticides and are grown to be pretty and perfect, not to be eaten or ingested. Instead, opt for organic.

It’s worth the extra effort to do this right. And when you light up, you’ll know why.

Rolling a rose blunt may seem intimidating, but with the right tools and techniques, anyone can create a perfect rose to smoke.

Here’s a guide on how to roll a rose blunt perfectly every time.

How To Roll A Rose Wrap

Materials Needed For Rose Petal Joint

Organic Rose Petals: Make sure they are clean before you use them and preferably if they are organic.

A Rolling Tray: There are going to be a lot of moving parts here, so you may want to get a great rolling tray that can help you stay on top of everything and avoid waste.

Weed: Take your pick. We suggest you try a delicate smoke that matches the mood of the rose blunt.

A Grinder: The better you grind your herb, the better you will smoke your rose blunt. Use a solid grinder like the revolutionary KLIP that cuts the bud without shredding it, creating a finely ground, trichome-covered herb.

Now let’s get to work rolling that rose joint or blunt.

How To Roll Rose Wraps: Step-by-Step

  1. Shred or crush the flower so that it is ready to be rolled.

  2. Take fresh rose petals and trim the hard base of the petal where it attaches to the flower.

  3. Wash the rose petals to remove any contaminants, such as bug and bird droppings, and also any toxins or pollutants picked up by rainwater. Dry the petals well, but gently.

  4. Take the petals and lay them flat, rounded side up and petal edges down, on a baking sheet. This will prevent them from folding over each other as they begin to wilt.

  5. Bake in the oven for about 10-15 seconds. You can watch them wilt and moisture collect under the petals when you lift them off the tray. Play with the temperatures, as all ovens vary, and watch them closely while they are in the oven. The petals will become soft and pliable, the color will also darken during heating and drying.

  6. Lick each petal about halfway through and press them together (this is what you wash them for, not to mention smoking something clean). Usually, three petals are a good joint size, but depending on the size you want to achieve, you can add petals or use just two.

  7. Once licked, all the petals are pressed together to form the wrapper, put the wrapper back in the oven for about 10-15 seconds on broil to help dry and set the wet petals. This also helps dry the petals a bit more so they burn better. If the petals are too wet, the binding or blunting may dull or burn unevenly.

  8. Once removed from the oven, you now have a rose wrapper ready to fill and roll. Continue to use the wrapper as you normally would roll a joint or blunt. Start rolling it very tightly, starting at the point on the paper where the bottom of the petals is. It should roll up exactly like a joint and be thin, looking a bit like a Backwoods. Keep in mind that tucking it in may be the best technique to keep the roll tight and the herb safe inside.

  9. Once rolled with your favorite herb, place back in the oven for 10-15 seconds to dry and set. Remove and let cool for 2-5 minutes.

  10. Your rose petal blunt is now ready. Enjoy the weed like never before!

How To Roll A Rose Blunt Without Saliva At The End

Not everyone wants to smoke, well, saliva and mouth bacteria. So, here are some ideas for rolling a rose blunt without saliva.

  • Blunt glues can be purchased online, there are many brands and varieties available. These can be used as a substitute for saliva.
  • Sugar water. Not the tastiest, so you can add vanilla.
  • Honey. It is practically the same as sugar. Use a very small amount (you can dilute it with a small amount of water). Use a syringe of CBD honey to make it easier and enjoy the added kick of CBD.
  • Concentrates! This is the ultimate method. But it requires more skill, time, and effort. The petals must be dried as much as possible before pressing them with hot concentrate to form the wrap. When rolling, apply just the right amount of concentrate to moisten the petals and make them pliable.

Applying Cannabis Concentrates To Rose Blunt Rolls

To apply cannabis concentrates to the petals, heat a butter knife or flat dabber with a lighter or blowtorch. Always be careful and have a safe place to leave the knife when not in use so you don’t burn yourself or melt the table.

Spread a thin layer of shatter, wax, rosin, etc. on the edge of the rose petal where you normally lick. Press the petals while the shatter or concentrate is still hot and sticky.

Keep adding petals until you have the size you want and then roll as usual.

When making the wrap and heating the concentrate to stick the petals, be careful not to overheat the blade or you will burn the petals. You can always reheat the dabber and spread it out more. But if it is too hot you will ruin your precious petals with big dark bruise-like spots caused by too much heat.

Once the wrap is done, and after rolling your cannabis in it normally like a joint, leave the rose blunt out to dry for 10-20 minutes (depending on humidity levels where you live). I know this takes time, but your rose blunt will be more potent because of the concentrates. Smoke it when it is relatively dry.

In conclusion, rolling a rose blunt may seem challenging at first, but with a little practice and patience, anyone can create a beautiful, smokable work of art. With the right materials and techniques, you can impress your friends and enhance your smoking experience with a perfect rose blunt.
