It's the season to pair weed and books and mentally escape to faraway lands much warmer than this.
Whether you call it cuddle season, hibernation mode, or the countdown to Christmas, October and November are the time of the year when curling up with a cup of weed tea and a good book feels right. As the days get shorter, these strains will help boot the anxiety that comes with having less light and boost the desire to spend the long nights learning something new or escaping the wet weather through the pages of a book.
Like almost any professional writer out there, here at Herb we evidently have a deeply felt love for two things; weed and books.
The thing here is that choosing the right flower for a swift reading session can be challenging. If you go with low THC content you might not even see the point of consuming weed when you read. If you go overboard with THC, then you might not understand the point of the book at all.
So here’s an idea. Start with something you’re sure you’ll be able to handle. A cannabinoid that won’t get you buzzed but will still provide that chill focused attention that reading a good piece of literature requires.
Sour G CBG is a Sativa strain that does exactly that. Without any psychoactive effects what so ever, this artist’s source of envy is an extremely rare and extremely pleasant smoking herb. Keep your wits but feel openminded enough to understand ideas in an unorthodox way. Expect that and delicious citrus peppery smells that make this flower incredibly enjoyable.
Strain profile:
The smell on this flower is fruit-based, with gas and diesel notes thanks to its parents Sour Tsunami and Early Resin Berry. Dense buds are multicolored, showing purple, orange, and green hues. This high CBD hybrid features an ample terpene profile, which makes it one of the best strains for chilling out. Sour Space Candy produces a calming and relaxing mood perfect for a moment of tranquil reading and enjoyment.

This novel is one of the most important and significant books of the 20th century. It is the masterpiece of Gabriel García Márquez, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982. The book tells the story of the magical town of Macondo and the Buendía family, in Colombia. It is a book that talks about life, death, love, war, and is in turn a reflection of the history of Latin America, written with the exquisite and unique style of one of the best writers in history. Definitely a must-read for any literature enthusiast.
Strain profile:
This potent Sativa-Dominant hemp strain by Timbr Organics is characterized by its sticky, dense buds filled with astringent berry smells and the pink hues that grow on its surface. The subtle berry sweetness gives way to an earthy undertone that persists through the smoke, leaving you calm and relaxed. We like this flower as an all-day strain because it produces an uplifting feeling with subtle calming effects that fit just right for a long reading session.

Written by the writer, philosopher, and Nobel Prize winner Albert Camus, this novel tells the story of Meursault, an Algerian Frenchman who finds reality to be absurd and unapproachable. Camus’s work warns about the man who is being created. It is a complaint against a society that forgets the individual. It was premonitory regarding the western citizen that society will find itself after World War II. Camus wrote a provocative work against the background of the torn face of a Europe wounded and violated by two world wars.
Strain profile:
This strain has all the stress-relieving medicinal qualities of cannabis, such as relief from stress and anxiety, with very little risk of paranoia. Most often, this strain has THC levels of no more than 6 percent, while CBD hovers between 6 and 16 percent. After a little Harlequin, you’ll feel pleasantly relaxed with ample amounts of mental clarity, which is the perfect combination for delving into a good book.
