BYOQ. Ask these questions to optimize your dispensary experience.
Are you really making the most of your dispensary visits? Some consumers don’t care to optimize their time at the weed shop. They prefer to get in and get out as fast as possible.
If you consider yourself one of those people, we’re asking you to take time and smell the roses. Not everything has to be rushed, especially your trips to the dispensary. After all, if you only care about re-upping your stash and getting out ASAP, you could be missing out on entirely new products, deals, discounts, and tons more.
If you don’t ask, you’ll never know which products might make a difference in your consumption rituals. Are you eager to find your new favorite products with a truly optimized dispensary experience? Ask the following questions to your budtender.
Ask your budtender;
“What strains would you recommend for my desired outcome?”
This is one of the most common questions to ask a budtender, and it goes a long way. Tell them how you want to feel and what effects you desire, and let them make their best recommendation possible.
This is an easy way to try new strains without worrying that you made a wrong choice, as your budtender likely tried it and loved it enough to make a recommendation.
Ask your budtender;
“Which cannabinoids would you recommend for my desired outcome?”
Not only do cannabis strains produce different effects, but so do different cannabinoids. Compounds like THC and CBD are the most popular cannabinoids, but chances are, your dispensary sells a lot more than that.
There are non-psychoactive cannabinoids like CBN, CBG, and CBC, not to mention stronger, high-inducing compounds like THC-P, HHC, and Delta-8 THC. And yes, they all produce different effects. Ask your budtender which cannabinoids they carry and which is best for your desired outcome.
Ask your budtender;
“Are there any new or popular products that are worth trying?”
This is an easy way to learn more about your local dispensary’s product catalog and their freshest shipments. After asking this, the budtender will likely respond with something like;
“Oh yeah, we just got this huge shipment of (product) from (brand). Want to try?”
Asking about new and popular products is a great way to broaden your horizons and try something new. After all, there are tons of new cannabis products being launched daily, and they just might trump your go-to in terms of quality, potency, and downright innovation.
Ask your budtender;
“Can you explain the different consumption methods (smoking, vaping, edibles, etc.) and help me choose the best one for my preferences?”
By asking this question, the budtender will explain the different consumption methods while making product recommendations for your desired effects.
If you prefer instant effects, they’ll likely recommend smoking or vaping. If you’re looking for a long-lasting experience, they’ll consider recommending an edible. The key is to make your desired outcome clear for the budtender to understand in order to make these recommendations.
Ask your budtender;
“Are there any special deals, discounts, member prices, or loyalty programs available?”
If you haven’t asked this before, now’s the time. Chances are, your local dispensary has a few deals and discounts going on, so staying in the loop is always a wise choice.
Secondly, most shops also have member prices or loyalty programs that give you generous discounts on all products or let you rack up points to use on future purchases. Asking for deals, discounts, and programs is your best bet.
