You don't always have to trip to make good use of psychedelic substances.
Microdosing seems to be taking over modern medicine, at least among those who’ve experienced the enlightening power of psychedelics.
With the many revised programs and clinical trials in North America shining light on how psychedelic substances could aid varying mental and physical conditions, we thought its time to help you understand the effects of microdosing popular substances and how much to take.

Ingesting a full dose (about 3g) of psilocybin mushrooms is known to cause hallucinations, euphoria, and a sense of well-being. A proper microdose of dried mushrooms is about 0.1-0.3g, which often makes the user feel a sense of optimism, focus, and feeling “breezy” or carefree. This is especially beneficial for individuals with mental illnesses like PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
If you suffer from fatigue that makes you feel out of the loop and unproductive, consider microdosing about 10-20 micrograms of LSD. According to VICE, this field of microdosing is rather popular among tech entrepreneurs who need a boost of motivation, focus, and creativity. The effects could be compared to the energy you’d get from a coffee, but without lingering anxiety or jitters.
DMT is one of the most potent drugs out there, and according to DMT enthusiast Joe Rogan, he attests that this substance takes users into different dimensions with intense visions and sensations. This is probably the most spiritually-inclined microdosing option, and 0.5-1.0mg helps users feel enlightened, focussed and happily inspired to take on each daily task.
Say goodbye to social anxiety when microdosing MDMA, which is usually about 20-40mg. The old Trinidad James saying goes, “pop a molly, I’m sweatin’,” but microdosing MDMA isn’t anywhere near those locked-jaw and bugged-out experiences. In fact, it’s optimal for those who want to be more outgoing and in the moment during social settings or who need a pick-me-up before heading to a big event.
Ayahuasca comes in a tea form and contains monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) that process naturally occurring DMT in the brain and also contains DMT in its leaves. According to VICE, it’s most common to microdose about 50g of brewed ayahuasca vines, which causes an increase in serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, and the brain’s natural levels of DMT. This microdose option is ideal for those with depression and who often suffer from a lack of motivation.
