Blaze In Peace At 420 Friendly Hotels In Los Angeles California

Check-in at one of these weed friendly hotels in California to blaze in peace.

So, you’re planning a trip to Los Angeles and wondering which hotels are cool with you lighting up. With California’s relaxed cannabis laws, you might assume that most hotels wouldn’t fuss about a little smoke.

Think again.

Despite the laid-back legislation, many hotels stick to strict non-smoking policies that include cannabis. However, a select few are riding the green wave and have adapted their policies to welcome those who want to toke up during their stay.

Curious about which ones?

Read on, where you’ll find our list of the 420 friendly hotels Los Angeles has seen.

Weed Friendly Hotels In California

420 Friendly Boutique Hotel In West Hollywood

This hotel is not only one of the 420 fondest, with every room being vape and e-nail friendly and having plenty of outdoor spots to smoke in, but is also ideally located right in the middle of West Hollywood, near to spectacular restaurants and sites.

Other than being very open to weed, the hotel is pretty much packed with anything you could expect in a nice place to stay at: it has a restaurant, a bar (with exciting cocktails), room service and, of course, internet and TV in every room – not to mention the super refreshing oversized showers!

Weedbus LA Joints

The travel agency 420 Joint has an ultimate selection of 420 friendly apartments, pot pods, and houses. You can check them all out on their website, with detailed descriptions and helpful information, but here are some tips on what you’ll be looking at:

Weedbus LA offers three excellent apartments, spread around the hottest spots in LA, with a couple of things in common, like great comfort, great location, and, most importantly: total freedom to consume any shape or form of weed.

The two Airbnb Plus Approved Pot Pods are ideal if you’re traveling with friends or looking to make some on the go. They host up to 18 people, and aside from some excellent amenities and even smoking accessories; they have free cannabis delivery. Say no more.

Like the Pot Pods (literally the same properties), but at a more accessible price if you’re a group – not if you’re traveling alone since it would mean having the entire place to yourself. Excellent idea, but maybe something you’ll think about twice considering it will cost at least $1K.

Hip Hollywood Hotel

With a rooftop terrace to smoke in and vapor-friendly rooms, the Hip Hollywood hotel is a colorful yet chilled option to stay at in LA. It is ideally located, right in Spaulding Square, within walking distance from incredible restaurants and the Wattles Garden Park.

If you’re feeling athletic, you can also rent bicycles right there, on-site, and give the city a tour. If, on the other hand, you’re more… laid back, you can enjoy a smoke and some great drinks on the rooftop while enjoying a lovely city view.

The Standard Hollywood

You may have heard of or had the luck to stay at one of the amazingly aesthetic and pleasureful hotels of The Standard. Both of its California hotels are closed. Hollywood was closed for good, one of the saddest events in history, but I am still hopeful for The Standard Downtown LA opening again soon.

Playrooms, decks, rooftops, pools. You name it. The Standard is where you want to be, especially if you see the value in a people, party, and, of course, 420 friendliness.

Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows

With a bunch of room options to choose from, the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows has the benefits of a top-notch hotel, combined with the perks of a chilled and fresh spot to crash in during your visit to Los Angeles.

A combination of ocean, city, and garden views, this hotel is also a beauty inside. Not only because of its super stylish design but also due to its extensive offer of amenities, including a full-service spa, pool, health club, TWO restaurants, and gorgeous outdoor spots. The hotel offers full breakfasts and wi-fi, but all for a fee.

Venice Breeze Suites

Located right on the Venice Boardwalk, the Venice Breeze Suites are just a step away from a fantastic spot to smoke weed in Los Angeles. I say a step out due to their location, but the facility itself is 100% non-smoking.

The hotel has a great variety of rooms, including a large studio and also one-bedroom suites. They have fully equipped kitchens in every single room, as well as complimentary TV and wi-fi. But my favorite place is their rooftop terrace, a fantastic spot to enjoy a barbeque and incredible views of the beach and boardwalk.

Dream Hollywood Hotel

This place is one of the most beautiful hotels I have seen in California. Filled with indoor and outdoor plants and gorgeous furniture, it is inevitable to stay at the hotel all day instead of walking around Los Angeles. The best reason to leave your room is to go up to the rooftop terrace, which has the most fantastic pool and a beautiful and fresh terrace restaurant you just can’t stop admiring.

The hotel has a no-smoking policy, but – between us – I haven’t heard anything about vaping… Nonetheless, worth the while most excellent here if you are visiting LA. Just try to do some walking around the city as well.

The Tangerine

This Burbank beauty has the coolest combination of styles; all meticulously thought of to create the best Cali atmosphere. It has different room sizes and accommodations, but they all have a TV, a coffeemaker, and some other excellent amenities. My favorite is the bathroom details: a shower and bathtub, surrounded by sublime luxury bath and hand products.

Before COVID, and hopefully again soon, they offered a delicious complimentary breakfast and coffee all day long. You also get free on-site parking and baggage storage in the lobby in case you arrive before check-in. It is a non-smoking hotel but has some fantastic spots in the neighborhood to enjoy your cannabis in.

Cara Hotel

Another gem in Los Angeles. Just booking a room at this hotel gives you an instant sense of pleasure and relaxation. With a Roman courtyard ambiance, Cara is filled with exquisite details in every corner of the hotel. Its common spaces, indoors and outdoors by the pool, are carefully designed to make you feel comfortable and cozy every minute of your stay.

It has three beautiful room options, and to be honest  – they seduced me entirely when I changed into the robe and slippers waiting for me by the bed. The food is stunningly delicious, made from the noblest and organic ingredients, and prepared with such care and delicacy that you can feel the love in every bite.

By the way, you don’t need to be staying at the hotel to enjoy the Cara Restaurant, Bar or Coffee, so please stop by if you’re in town! You won’t regret it.

Glendale Express Hotel

Genuinely one of the most incredible places I’ve ever stayed at. Every detail of the rooms and common spaces is a treat to the eye. It has typical hotel amenities, all increased by the style and vibe this place has. The site has a pool, five different meeting spaces, and a super convenient parking spot.

With different room options that sleep up to four people, it also has some with connecting doors if you’re looking for some fun or are traveling with a larger group. All bedrooms have private balconies; you can make your conclusions.
