3 Reasons Why You Don’t Want Cutting Agents In Your Oils

Cutting agents are known as the “filler” add-ons to some vapes because they make it easier and cheaper to process cannabinoids in these small devices

We know that cutting corners is necessary, to some extent, and we can understand that some things can be done with cheaper stuff and it won’t kill the whole product. However, when it comes to caring about your consumers’ health, we think it’s a bit odd that some brands offer healthier options to more mainstream products, without guaranteeing that they are better for consumers.

When vaping was introduced it became the new smoking alternative, for now, you could get the effects of nicotine or cannabis without the pungent smell or odd flavor. The cherry on top was the lack of carcinogenic ingredients, especially when it came to vaping devices infused with CBD or THC; finally, people could truly smoke naturally, discreetly, and safely. Turns out, it wasn’t always as safe as we’d been told.

Cutting agents are known as the “filler” add-ons to some vapes because they make it easier and cheaper to process cannabinoids in these small devices. Ingredients like propylene glycol have been approved by the corresponding authorities to be consumed by people, but what happens when it’s added with other things and heated up? The whole integrity of it changes, making it far more dangerous to consume, especially given the popularity of vaping devices nowadays.

Here’s why we think you should steer clear from cutting agents in your smoking devices, and should instead look for clean options, like the cartridges and oils from Eureka Vapor.

They're Not Regulated

The first and foremost reason is that they aren’t regulated. When we said they’d been approved by authorities like the FDA, we meant that they weren’t on the “do not consume” list, but that doesn’t mean that you can in fact inhale it and not expect any side effects. Just because gasoline is allowed for cars, it doesn’t mean you can start adding it to your morning protein shake.

Labels Aren't Accurate

Sadly, along with the lack of regulation of the cutting agents themselves, many cannabis and hemp-derived products can’t work under the same laws as other smoking devices. It’s still taboo and therefore leaves a gray area, where people can take advantage to make an easy buck by selling low-quality products without proper testing. This means that labels can basically say whatever producers and marketers want them to say, and it doesn’t mean they’re being transparent about what’s in their oils, nor how much.

Heat Makes Them Dangerous

And finally, the last component to why they’re bad for your health: when heated, cutting agents can become new chemicals entirely, and these have been directly linked to numerous lung and heart diseases. It’s not the same if you’re drinking a glass of water, than if you tried drinking a glass of snow, right? Temperature changes affect anything, to some degree, so don’t let the whole “this is fine to smoke” tagline distract you: do your proper research before buying and trust in official brands, like Eureka Vapor, to ensure the highest quality ingredients in your vapes.
